How to Apply for Scholarships

Each year, The Foundation for Western Professionals will award scholarships to youth in Agriculture/Western industries which can be applied toward education or livestock purchases.  A check on behalf of each winner will be paid directly to the College, University, Trade School or Livestock Seller (or appropriate vendor) on behalf of our scholarship recipients.

Scholarship applications are accepted from January 1 through June 30 of each calendar year.  After the Scholarship Committee reviews all applications, final winner selections will be made by September 1.  Winner announcements will be made by September 15.

Any person, from any state, between the ages of 13 - 25 can apply for a scholarship.  Our Scholarship Committee will select a winner(s) from each of the following categories:

  • Universities/Colleges

  • Vocational/Trade School or other accredited schooling (Examples: Private Academy, Charter Schools, Cosmetology, Welding, Massage Therapist, HVAC, Mechanic, Hospitality, Electrician, Vocational, Farrier, and more)

  • Livestock and/or Expenses (used to purchase livestock and/or cover livestock expenses for 4-H or FFA projects)
